John Calvin once called the Psalms, “An Anatomy of all the Parts of the Soul; for there is not an emotion of which any one can be conscious that is not here represented as in a mirror.” The Psalms can go as high as your greatest joys and as low as your darkest bouts of depression. In this Psalm, we see that David is able to look back to his joyful experiences in corporate worship in order to enjoy God's presence in the wilderness.
